Buymarr Catch & Cook Experience

- Durata: 6 Ore (circa)
- Luogo: Buymarr, Northern Territory
- Codice prodotto: PMSNAQ
Yolŋu people have lived off the land and managed their traditional land and sea country for tens of thousands of years. The Buymarr Catch & Cook Experiences invites visitors to learn and discover Yolŋu traditional foods, hunting methods, and celebrate Yolŋu culture through sharing stories of country.
On this half-day experience, you'll be guided by Wangurri Traditional Owners and Yolŋu guides to learn and try your hand at the traditional hunting and fishing practices of Yolŋu people. Depending on the season, you might try your hand at spearing fish in the shallows, hunting mud crabs, collecting oysters and mud mussels from the rocks, or seeking out stingray along the shore.
Once you’ve caught your meal, your guide will show you how it's prepared and cooked the Yolŋu way — using only local ingredients, cooked over fire, with stories woven through every step.
Lunch is whatever you've foraged and caught together — a genuine catch-and-cook experience on one of East Arnhem Land's most pristine and secluded stretches of coastline.
